Yesterday I read a great blog post on The Bark about a dog named Maggie that's been getting loved up by US troops helping with recovery efforts in Haiti. I strongly encourage you all to read it. It's located here. It'll definitely make you smile.
I know soldiers aren't allowed to have pets while deployed, but I love, love, LOVE the stories you hear about it-- and the programs like Baghdad Pups that works to bring the pets home to the US.
